Municipal and Community Water Treatment

RAPAW designs, builds, operates and maintains all forms of potable water and sewage treatment systems from basic filtration and softening through to complex clarification, filtration, reverse osmosis (or nano-filtration), SBR or MBR and disinfection, storage and recirculation systems.

RAPAW has a team of experts that can assist with all forms of wastewater treatment from a broad range of mining and process applications.  We are very familiar with the speciafic treatment needs of industrial water that may possess large concentration of metals and/or biological species (for example).  We offer a comprehensive range of standard and customised water treatment and water quality monitoring systems

Specific to sewage treatment systems, RAPAW offers a broad depth of expertise in the operation and optimisation of all forms of sewage treatment.  We are experts in the design, build, installation and operation and maintenance of primary, secondary and tertiary sewage treatment and can provide high value on-site support to assist in systems monitoring and optimisation.  Additionally, we have the capacity to build and install a very broad range of equipment and systems associated with green-field and brown-filed projects.

RAPAW has extensive experience in the design, build, operation and maintenance of a broad range of sewage reclamations systems.  We have particular expertise in the modelling, designing and construction of micro-filtration, ultra-filtration and nano-filtration for delivering ultra-low energy demand systems for high efficiency waste water and sewage reclamation applications.

RAPAW in collaboration with Plexus Water & Energy (https://www.plexuswater.com.au/desalination) offers complete Project Management services from planning through to operations and construction services.  We offer large and small systems from as little as 1kl/dy (package marine systems) through to medium sized containerised/skid-mounted systems (e.g. 1 to 5 Ml/day) through to large municipal and industrial applications that may exceed 50 Ml/day.  RAPAW offers operational and maintenance services for all sizes of desalination systems

Mobile Plant

RAPAW maintains a fleet of mobile water treatment systems to provide customers with short-term solutions to water treatment issues.  Our systems range from simple cartridge filtration, to portable clarification skids through to more complex reverse osmosis, demineralisation and desalinations systems. 

 

RAPAW also offers a range of mobile power generating equipment suitable for powering RAPAW's mobile water treatment systems or for stand-alone applications where short term power supply may limited.

Mine Dewatering

RAPAW offers both long term and short term solutions for mine dewatering.  Several of RAPAW's mobile water treatment systems are specifically designed for mine dewatering.  The systems are modular and, as such, can be readily integrated to provide for multi-process water treatment with expansion capacity to meet demand.  Typically mine dewatering can require rapid response to environmentally critical scenarios, RAPAW's team are competent at mobilising rapidly in a safe manner to deliver compliant water production in the most cost-effective and seamless and safe manner to ensure minimal impact of mine/process operations

RAPAW can rapidly mobilise 'package' water treatment systems to meet emergency potable water or process water supply requirements.  RAPAW has a range of designs for trailer and containerised plants on offer to enable customers to either lease or procure systems most suitable for their applications.

Marine Wastewater Treatment

RAPAW offers a range of waste water systems specifically for marine (and vessel) installations/applications.  The designs for these systems are ever-evolving to ensure compliance with some of the most stringent EPA requirements.  RAPAW is based in Townsville (Nth Qld) and is very attuned to the need for minimal harm to pristine environments such as the Great Barrier Reef.  RAPAW systems offer the absolute best in treatment and monitoring to ensure appropriate levels of discharge accountability are demonstrated

Automation, Control, & Remote Monitoring

RAPAW offers a very broad range of water treatment and chemical dosing automation, monitoring and control.

SWAS - RAPAW's team is specifically adept at designing, constructing and installing Steam Water Analysis Systems (SWAS).  We are specifically competent at designing and constructing for the electrical power generating industry and are familiar with the needs of base-load power generators (including ranging units), peaking HRSG systems and super/ultra-critical systems.  RAPAW's systems are designed to meet all relevant industry codes and are certified by accredited engineers.

RAPAW offers a range of solar based systems specifically designed to displace or complement the need for fossil fuels in powering water treatment systems.  Typically these systems are custom designed from modularised systems to match the water quality and quantity required by the specific application(s).

Renewable Energy for Mine Dewatering

RAPAW offers some innovative techniques for the utilisation of solar, wind and 'green' fuels (e.g. hydrogen etc.) for the delivery of mine dewatering or mine water recovery.  Each application is unique requiring power demand calculations and the matching of a range of technologies to the specific site needs and existing infrastructure.  RAPAW has a range of "off the shelf" modularised systems that are designed to 'mine-spec'.

Filtration and Demineralisation Systems

RAPAW offers a range of filters and filtration systems suitable for a very broad range of water qualities and flow rates.  We can deliver systems suitable for flow rates ranging from as low a 1m3/day through to systems flowing greater than 10 Ml/day.  Typically the filtration systems may include:

  • Bag or cartridge filtration;

  • Sand or multi-media filtration

  • Softening filtration (hardness removal)

  • Micro or ultra-filtration

  • Nano Filtration

  • Reverse Osmosis

  • Demineralisation via ion-exchange and/or continuous electro deionisation (CEDI)

The cost-effective use of chemicals is paramount for maintaining reliability and sustainability of processes whilst ensuring the optimum cost of operations.  RAPAW offers a broad range of chemical dosing system coupled with appropriate monitoring systems to ensure that the chemical dosing is continuously monitored for process effectiveness and usage accountability.

RAPAW antiscalant dosing systems offer the World's best in safe handling and process feedback to ensure optimum chemical use without risking process reliability.

RAPAW solid chlorine chemical dosing systems are designed to be extremely effective and efficient at blending, storing and dosing high concentration chlorine streams in the safest and most cost-effective manner.
